Paint Protection Film Explained
What is paint protection film & how does it work?
A clear, impact-absorbing urethane layer applied to painted panels. It takes the hit from rock chips, sand, and road rash, while the self-healing top coat removes light swirls with heat or sun. Crystal-clear in gloss (or stealth satin), UV-stable, and fully removable without harming OEM paint.
Will PPF stop scratches or rock chips?
Yes - PPF absorbs small impacts that would chip paint and self-heals light surface marks. It won’t prevent dents or deep gouges from major impacts. If damaged, film can be replaced panel-by-panel.
How long does it last?
Up to a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, and peeling with proper care.
